Praa Sands Situated in the heart of Mounts Bay, Praa Sands is a popular family beach and the south Cornish coast's premiere surfing location. 'Sea Home' is located on an exclusive private estate at the quieter eastern end of the beach. Easy access to the beach is either across an open common towards Praa sands or via stone steps is some 200 yards to ward the east from the house. Sea Home is a fully furnished detached house owned by the same family since it was built in the 1920's. It has been used as a holiday home by friends and family and also by visitors such as yourselves. Set back a little way from the cliff it has a unique location can be seen by the aerial photos above and below. The south-facing garden is secluded and overlooks the beach. The house as we have said is in an idyllic location and is nice and spacious for a family or for couples with or without children. You don't have to drive anywhere, the beach is 1-2 minutes walk away and the view from the house is one of the finest in Cornwall. The beach (see below) is fabulous and is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer. There is also a golf course just up the road! The cliff walks from the house are awe inspiring - my favourite being the walk to PORTHLEVEN (click) - this takes you past old tin mines that cling to the cliff face - my recommendation being that you take a picnic lunch, mask & fins and stop off for a snorkel off the rocks en-route.. |

There is a Village Post office Shop, Off license a short walk away (10 mins) opening 7 days a week early morning/late evening and sells daily papers, fresh bread, groceries, spirits, beer & wine and all the essentials. There is also plenty of activity at the western end of the beach; a dive/surf shop, a cafe, a beach Pub, a fish and chip shop plus a discount trading store in the village there is also a putting course on the green
Nearby are the following attractions
Lands End Peninsular, St Michaels Mount, PENZANCE/Newlyn Harbour, Mousehole, Lamorna Cove, The Minack Theatre, Sennen Cove (great for surfing) Cape Cornwall (golf Course). The Scilly Isles via the ferry or helicopter from penzance or fixed wing from St just, ST IVES - Tate Gallery, The Lizard Peninsular, Kynance Cove, Mullion, Gunwalloe (cove, church and golf course), Cadgwith, Goonhilly Earth station, Helford river, Frenchman's creek (Daphne Du M, FALMOUTH, Tressilick house and gardens, St Mawes (via the King Harry ferry), the lost gardens of Heligan, The EDEN Project and much, much more. The local town is HELSTON. .

The House: is a
5 bedrooms 3 with stunning sea views, a double, two twins & two singles one with en-suite bathroom and a cot that can be mobile from room to room.
3 bathrooms in total, two WC's
The downstairs windows have traditional sash windows and are full height in the sea view rooms.
There is also a colour TV with DVD & CD/FM radio music system & a telephone (for incoming calls only).
Electricity for the duration of your stay is charged at electricity board rates, Duvets, Pillows and Blankets are included - linen & towels are not.
