Located in the south West-facing bay between the Lizard and Lands End, the mile-long sandy beach is backed with sheltering sand dunes and its easily accessible position is enjoyed by families having fun in the shallows and rock pools while further out the surfers take on the waves.

Praa Sands itself is a ten minute walk from Sea Home along the coastal path. At Resodgeon there is a Co-Op store selling daily newspapers, fresh bread, eggs, bacon, milk, around 2 miles away.
